- They figured it was like other cities in South America. Wow, how wrong I was ... My best friend lives in Paris, and me in Munich and did not have a big trip together in about 3 to 4 years. We must say that I am a bit surprised and upset when I landed and got text message from her that the flight was canceled and had to order it on a later flight. Not a big deal, I figured I'd check at the hotel, explore the area and wait for her. She flew at night. So 7:00 rolls around and I get another message from her. The second flight was canceled.
It does not look good. I would have traveled alone before, for about two months in Asia, but it was my first time in South America and I just wanted to spend time and discover the BA with my friend! Mature hours and go through my phone rings - thank God, it works! She did not come. They returned the ticket and I was alone for 10 days in Argentina.
But I met some really cool guys from Holland and invited me with them that night. Ended will be the club I'm sure it was called Pasha. Apparently, an international network of ... and I'm not at all club members - I prefer a lot of local Bar / Pub, but these girls could be the right time so it was inevitable.
The next day I was at the top of the control of my e-mail and I met great girl from Seattle, who was traveling, as well as solo. That brightened the mood as we went along for the next 9 days.
I do not remember what we did on the day to day basis, but Buenos Aires is so fascinating city. Week just is not enough.
Some of the highlights of the BA:
La Boca - What a beautiful part of town.
It sits on the Riachuelo river, which divides it from other cities and provinces is the most colorful thing I've ever seen. On the main street of El Caminito, was full of tourists, but for all for good reason. He was a very small craft fairs, but the real art was all clear, the different colored houses and restaurants. I do not know that story about something really considered but wow, what to look at.
Recoleta Cemetery / grave of Eva Paron - "Special" cemetery for the rich, de la Recoleta Cementario very impressive. Cemetery mausoleums from the first ever - the most sophisticated thing ever! Personally, a wooden box well for me, but your whole family can live in some of these are so large and ornate.
Generic Floralis sculpture - Also in the Recoleta / Barrio Norte. The sculpture is a huge flower in the center of a great park called the Plaza Naciones Unidas. Made entirely of aluminum, steel flakes in middle. The pedals are red lights, which shine at night, and every morning sculpture closes and opens every night. I thought that the grain Mellenium Park in Chicago was cold ...
Outside Buenos Aires, my friend MIA and I had booked tickets from BA to Iguazu Falls in the north. I would like to have gone to buy myself my new friend Hillary decided to z. All guides speak more about falls and the scenery from the Brazilian side, but what I've heard are much more impressive than Argentina.
We went for a ride by boat from the coast to the waterfall. Really Motor giant was more white water raft, so fun at least. It is so impressive! And the boat, but until them, which was amazing feeling, because you can really sense how powerful they are. After about half a second we were completely soaked, and wet dogs.
For the right boat, we started to walk. As we walked, and walked, and w. ... Nature was amazing. Monkeys, until he comes to us, giant birds, crazy insects. I'm sure there were a few photos and perhaps you should get before you leave:) It was quite a tourist and have not been defined path and people around the world, but definitely worth the trip.
We walked along the shaky "mole" for the devil's throat ' which literally looks like a giant hole in the ground that water is only going z.
Basically we were on top of the waterfall. It was like standing on the top of the world.
We had 2 or 3 full days in Iguazu - I do not remember exactly. Our hostel had a great pool, and it was so hot there, a bit relaxed and do not trip in the woods. We got into the "mountain" climb, repel, go canapé swing and swim.
Viva Argentina!
