how much do u think the the whole set of civil war comics would cost on ebay??
currently i have the every civil war comic including the road to civil war stuff that has been printed up to this date. the only reprints that i have is she hulk #8 and the only alternate cover i have is the civil war: the return( the return of captain marvel). if i get civil war #7 i would have a complete collection of the civil war series and every tie in comic. i was wondering what sould that be worth? i know that by todays standards the print runs are alot larger then back in the silver and golden age days. like i said most of the comics are the direct editions. so what do u think somthing like this is worth on ebay or to comic book stores... remember the whole civil war series and all its one shots and tie ins and the road to civil war stuff is around 100 comics.
Well if the whole shebang is approx. 100 comics, at $3-5 per book, I'd say you shelled out somewhere around $350-400 bucks to buy the whole thing. It's worth at auction, however is going to be based on how much someone wants the entire series (being a very large Marvel event, there might likely be plenty of people clamoring for it). Your best bet is to sell the whole package (if that is indeed your plan) individually (special editions, variant covers) or in sets (by title). That way you can guarantee to get at least what you paid for the books instead of losing profit. Someone would be more likely to buy the books missing from their own set than to shell out almost $400 bucks for the entire thing; they can possibly wait and get them cheaper individually from a comic convention.
