Do you feel that music nowadays is expendable and boring? Do you feel that rock and pop doesn't have...?
longevity or excitement or resounding power like it used to?
Whatever happened to exciting, influential musicians and bands like Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, John Lennon, etc. It's sad to think that creative expression is not valued as much as commercial power, or an image today.
Why do we have crap like the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus? The music industry is trying to sell you an image, people. Visionary musicians aren't in the mainstream anymore
I just realized my last question makes me sound kind of hypocritical
ANYBODY can put music out there now, with our technology. One does not have to get a contract through a recording studio. It's sad that there are so few truly influential artists out there and that we have to sift through so much crap to get to the good stuff.
