Joe Origins
GI Joe, did it take too long to make to be a great movie (read details)?
In about..... 1996 a article appeared on a couple of web sites saying that GI Joe was in the works.
It had a casting call that would be the biggest ever done. Everyone in Hollywood was being asked at the time to possible take part in it.
Then it dissapears for about 10 years.
in 2006-2007 it reappeared finally in the works again. Articles said the delay was because the creators could not figure out a good story line for such a huge story situation.
Instead of the huge cast and long list of charectors, they downsized it, to become a trilogy. The first one we know is the origins of the Joes and the origins of Cobra.
But, would it have been better to have just made 1 giant movie, with as many charectors as possible, or to build it up through 3 movies?
i dunno.. i have an open mind about it, but i was thrilled to see rise of the cobra.. the film was crazy, they must have spent absolutely millions on special effects!
