Many rally goers kept their eyes open for the latest information about Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2009. How many of you already know City of Myrtle Beach has canceled official Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2009.
Myrtle Beach officials have given orders to limit as in spring and fall events. Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson sent a press release a day later informed that although the rally goers were bikers welcome to the city limits of Myrtle Beach they were still welcome outside the city limits.
"Many tourists mistakenly believe that Myrtle Beach is synonymous with the 60-mile long "Grand strip 'which is visited by more than 14 million tourists year, "said Mike flute, director of marketing for Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson." In fact, the city of Myrtle Beach is only a small town in Horry County. It has only 25,000 inhabitants. In the north, and south and west of Myrtle Beach is much larger, the Strand community where there are many restaurants, bars, recreation and housing falities. Now that Myrtle Beach Bike Week is dissolved die hards have called a new event "Cruisin 'Coast," and will be held May 8 to 17, all along the Grand Strand, Myrtle Beach with the exception of part of the course.
